Marlin and sailfish are the bucket-list fish: hundreds of pounds of muscle greyhounding across the surface behind the boat. Most billfish are released today, and the thrill is entirely in the hookup, the jumps and the photo at the boat.
Cabo San Lucas is the striped marlin capital of the world with fish most of the year. The Outer Banks produce blue marlin out of Oregon Inlet in summer, Bermuda is a blue marlin hotspot in July, and the Florida Keys and Islamorada are sailfish central all winter.

Do we keep the marlin?
No. Billfish are released, usually tagged, and photographed boatside. The experience is the catch.
How many days should I plan?
At least two fishing days; three gives you a weather day. Billfish are not guaranteed on any single day.
Is Cabo good for non-anglers?
Very. Resorts, beaches, restaurants and whale watching in winter keep the rest of the group happy.
